PACE Project Holds Regional Needs Assessment and Stakeholder Engagement Workshops

The PACE Project held Regional Needs Assessment and Stakeholder Engagement Workshops in Gaziantep, Hatay, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya from October 7th to 10th, 2025.

The “Participatory, Inclusive, and Green Recovery Workshops on Local Public Services” were designed to analyse the current status, priorities, and capacity gaps in post-earthquake local service delivery and aimed to contribute to the development of more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable urban structures that are prepared for future disasters, in addition to meeting immediate needs.

Discussions in the workshop addressed Urban Infrastructure and Environment; Basic Social Services (education, health, social assistance); Economic Development and Local Growth; Governance, Participation, and Digital Capacity; and Inclusiveness and Disaster-Based Resilience.

PACE project is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, coordinated by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs (DEUA), and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
