The first Steering Committee Meeting of the Participatory, Inclusive and Green Recovery for Local Public Services in the Earthquake-Affected Region (PACE) Project was held on June 20, 2025, with broad participation from all relevant stakeholder institutions, non-governmental organisations, international financial institutions, and representatives of institutions responsible for implementation of the project.
At the meeting, information was presented on project implementation progress, and information was provided on planned activities for the upcoming period. Representatives of the relevant institutions assessed the intersecting aspects of their work areas with the PACE Project and discussed opportunities for cooperation between the parties. All participants at the meeting emphasised the importance of ensuring coordination and increasing cooperation in efforts targeting the earthquake region.
PACE project is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, coordinated by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs (DEUA), and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
