Social Entrepreneurship Project Opening Ceremony to Take Place in Ankara on 21 July

The Opening Ceremony of the “Supporting Civil Society through Social Entrepreneurship in Türkiye Project”, which aims to strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem and support civil society through innovative, sustainable and impact-driven approaches, will take place in Ankara on 21 July 2026.

Funded by the European Union, the Project is implemented under an institutional framework in which the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye serves as the Main Beneficiary, the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Industry and Technology act as Co-Beneficiaries, and the Central Finance and Contracts Unit serves as the Contracting Authority.

Bringing together representatives of public institutions, civil society organisations, social enterprises, academia, the private sector and other ecosystem stakeholders, the event will introduce the Project’s objectives, activities and expected results. Following the opening statements and the Project presentation, panel discussions will explore good practices and emerging social entrepreneurship models in Türkiye, as well as ways to build a stronger, more inclusive and sustainable ecosystem.

The programme will also feature a Social Enterprise Marketplace, where participating social enterprises will showcase their products, services and initiatives, alongside interactive sessions and networking opportunities. The event is expected to facilitate new partnerships among stakeholders from different sectors and increase the visibility of impact-driven enterprises.

We look forward to welcoming all ecosystem stakeholders to this important milestone of the Project, which seeks to advance social entrepreneurship in Türkiye and contribute to a more enabling environment for civil society and social innovation.
