
With the first phase of the Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP I), more effective participation of CSOs in decision-making processes was ensured, public-civil society relations were improved at local and national levels, and management, advocacy, and communication skills of CSOs were supported.
The first phase of the Civil Society Support Programme consisted of the following components:
- Partnerships and Networks Grant Programme for Strengthening Cooperation Between Public and CSOs
- Local CSOs Grant Program
Partnerships and Networks to Strengthen Cooperation Between the Public and CSOs Grant Programme supported partnerships and networks to be developed by CSOs that are financially and administratively strong and experienced in project management. Through these partnerships and networks, cooperation between public institutions and CSOs and the capacities of CSOs were strengthened. Within the scope of the program, approximately 4.2 million euros of grant support was provided to 10 CSOs.
With the Local CSOs Grant Programme, which has an approximate budget of 2.1 million euros, the institutional capacities of CSOs were strengthened, lobbying and advocacy activities were supported, and activities were carried out to improve communication skills. The Programme, which included 38 projects from 15 different provinces of Türkiye, played a significant role in the spread of EU funds to Anatolia.
Within the scope of CSSP I, 28 networks / platforms were created with the participation of 2223 CSOs and 14 Public-CSO cooperation protocols were signed.
