Easy Access to Organic Products Project organized a workshop in the Netherlands.

The workshop, which aimed to develop new policies for informing and protecting the consumer on organic products, brought together European and Turkish experts.

In the workshop organized by the Easy Access to Organic Products Project, the topic of discussion was the organic sector. The grant beneficiary Ecological Farming Organization Foundation (ETO) and Dutch co-beneficiary Avalon Foundation discussed the possibility of new policies compatible with the EU legislation for the protection of the consumer in the organic sector.

The workshop in the city of Driebergen also discussed the pros and cons of the current policies and regulations of the organic sector in Europe. Experiences and ideas on how the policies can be further enhanced were exchanged. The committee will prepare a report including policy proposals to present to Turkish public institutions following the workshop.
