Entrepreneurship Training Module Submitted to the Council of Higher Education (CoHE)

The Entrepreneurship Training Module Developed by Youth At Work Project is Being Submitted to the Council of Higher Education (CoHE)

Youth At Work project which was jointly implemented by Antalya Center of Support for EU Studies Association based in Turkey and the Joint Association from Italy, was completed successfully.

The project was launched to find a solution for youth unemployment in Turkey, to demonstrate the added value of youngsters in the society and to support their entrepreneurial skills. Following the study visit to Italy, observations and experiences were compiled in a training module.  Within this module, a game was also designed for youngsters and supported with a mobile application. As youngsters play this game or use the mobile application, they can have more detailed information on entrepreneurship, develop their business plans and get to know success stories.

First Abdullah Gül University, then Council of Higher Education and finally Harvard!

This acclaimed training module and the application are currently used by Abdullah Gül University, a project associate, within the scope of entrepreneurship courses. Furthermore, activities are performed by the university to submit a proposal to the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) for the inclusion of this entrepreneurship module in the curricula of universities.

Another innovative aspect of this training module was the integration of a separate section on social entrepreneurship. For this reason, the module was invited to 2017 Social Enterprise Conference at Harvard University, where it was promoted.

Besides, a training of trainers’ event was organised under the scope of the project in Kayseri with the participation of instructor candidates from civil society organisations working in various parts of Turkey. The national and international entrepreneurship camps were organised in Antalya. In the last period of the project, “The Best Business Idea” contest that was open to the application of youngsters from the entire country was organised and concluded
